A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder
Two people have been arrested over the death of baby girl found with a “number of broken bones”.
The eight-week-old was found unresponsive at a house in south east London on Friday, April 26 and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Today, Met Police announced they had launched a murder investigation and a 24-year-old man and 21-year-old woman had been arrested.
A force interpreter said: “A post mortem scan of the child showed a number of broken bones.
“On Friday, 3 may 2019 police arrested a 24-year-old man [A] and a 21-year-old lady [B] on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
A post mortem examination conducted on Friday, 10 May was inconclusive.
“Following further testing police more inactive [A] and [B] on suspicion of murder. They have both been released on bail to date the period of time.
